As I have probably said a few times, wonderful how you are able to make surprising, revelatory photos, ones that will make readers turn the page of the future book, from a subject that does not sound as promising as you make it. For instance, high-mileage cards in the catalog thumbed to Homer, the iron spiral staircase with an industrial-strength fire extinguisher at its foot, or the imposing reading room ringed with empty vitrines.
And maybe you have compared before the library to a culture’s brain, but I think it is an analogy to develop- card catalog as synapses?
